Quality Assurance Engineer

Areté is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Tucson. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, identifying and mitigating risks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality assurance support for the development and production of lidar products
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Monitor, audit, and provide performance reporting on the production of deliverable hardware
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming hardware and software and facilitate investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, including non-conformances, bug reports, and corrective action implementation activities
  • Witness and verify regression testing and product acceptance testing
  • Monitor and review quarterly supplier performance data
  • Aid in the processing of incoming material in support of production builds
  • Provide inspection data and quality assurance reports to senior management
  • Participate in all QA meetings
  • Provide program managers and engineers with necessary data to make informed decisions
  • Create and document inspection plans for incoming material and in-process assemblies
  • Facilitate Program level MRB meetings and resolve quality issues using the TipQA Database
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Quality Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in quality assurance
  • 4+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team
  • Proven capability to comprehend and represent technical product specifications
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to acquire a TS security clearance

Experiences and Background We Look For:

Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $120,000.

Other Requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility
  • Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • Successful passage of a criminal background screen is required to meet position eligibility
