Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). This position requires a strong commitment to delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of residents, as outlined in the care plan.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean and operational living environment.
  • Participate in wellness and recreational programs, encouraging residents to engage in activities.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary needs.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits.
