We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Osceola, NE. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to our residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your knowledge of age-appropriate care will enable you to deliver exceptional care related to the physical and psychological needs of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. You must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certified with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
