Job Summary

The City of Riviera Beach is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to serve as a School Crossing Guard. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of children as they commute to and from school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and control vehicular and pedestrian traffic at school intersections
  • Escort children across the street or highway while going to and returning from school
  • Instruct children on proper street crossing procedures
  • Report any unsafe acts by children and/or motorists to the immediate supervisor and/or Police Department
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to work a split shift/flexible hours, mornings and afternoons
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Ability to react to and control emergency situations for the safety of children and work in extreme weather conditions
