Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Washington State Speech Language Pathologist certification
  • Current Washington State SLP license and Medicaid billing authorization
  • Strong foundation in language development
  • Proficient in evaluating and drafting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Ability to foster positive relationships and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant Washington State and Federal regulations
  • Preferred experience in an educational environment
  • Required flexibility and a positive demeanor
  • Personal transportation is necessary for travel to various locations
General Responsibilities:
The Speech Language Pathologist delivers assessment, habilitative therapy, and consultative services for students with disabilities requiring support in language, speech, or hearing.
This position is anticipated to be available for the academic year. The salary structure is currently not disclosed. For the academic year, a full-time certificated contract encompasses a 183-day work schedule; additional compensation (subject to district criteria); 12 sick leave days and 3 annual leave days. Salary placement is determined by the State Salary Schedule, which for the academic year ranged from $67,087 (Bachelor's degree with no experience) to $127,578 (Master's degree + 90 credits and 16 years of experience). Healthcare benefits are accessible through SEBB. For those opting for coverage, a portion of the monthly premium is subsidized by employer contributions. The district covers mandatory dental, vision, basic long-term disability, and basic life and accidental death and dismemberment premiums. Employees have the option to enroll in employee-paid programs: Flexible Spending Arrangement; Dependent Care Assistance Program; and additional long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and life insurance. If employed at less than full-time (1.0 FTE), days, salary, and health premiums are prorated based on FTE.
