At Ryder System, we are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Field Supply and Parts Management Specialist to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of inventory management.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $58,000 to $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and results-driven individual who can support the vehicle repair process through strategic inventory planning, purchasing negotiation, and compliance with company policies and procedures. As a Field Supply Associate, you will work closely with the Director of Operations and FMS Operations organization to drive business growth, cost savings, and customer retention across your area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supports DOO and DQFM in all aspects of inventory, tire, and outside repair vendor management as an expert for the area.
  2. Measure, track, and perform ongoing analysis to ensure inventory purchasing, tire applications, outside repair, and financial objectives are met.
  3. Accountable for key purchasing and inventory measurements and controls across your assigned area.
  4. Supports, communicates, and ensures compliance with all company-wide mandated parts, tire, and outside repair policies, procedures, and processes.
  5. Supports, communicates, and implements all corporate and regional inventory management, tire management, and outside repair vendor management initiatives.
  6. Trains, develops, provides input for performance management of personnel within assigned business units (CSC, PRP, TRPs, etc.).
  7. Supports, visits, and builds relationships with local, regional, and national suppliers.
  8. AP Field Support - captures/shows tactical solutions; tracks/reports defects and creates feedback loops for all Accounts Payable functions for their assigned locations/BUs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Develops a local inventory model for each supported location.
  2. Ensures parts room layout is consistent with standards.
  3. Supports and/or participates in location inventory counts and inventory planning activities for all location closures, start-ups, and takeovers.
