Cardiac Sonography Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonography Technologist to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our Echocardiography department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
Responsibilities- Perform echocardiography procedures on patients, selecting and using transducers according to anatomy and differentiating normal and abnormal structures.
- Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results, entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results.
- Review patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting changes in status.
- Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions, utilizing critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Registered Sonographer, Reg Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer certification.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification.
- State licensure if required by law.
