About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Texas AirSystems in the Midland/Odessa area. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical inspections and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems to ensure peak performance.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Use technical skills and experience to determine service requirements and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and owners.
  • Advise owners and representatives of preventative maintenance inspections and corrective actions.
  • Suggest additional services beneficial to customers.
  • Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Submit required paperwork to the Service Coordinator in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all safety measures are taken at all times.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Travel required throughout the West Texas and Eastern New Mexico region to customer job sites.
  • Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 training, plus 5+ years of experience working as a Service Technician in a commercial environment.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • Electrical knowledge required, with EPA Certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions, including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
  • Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
