Contingent Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description Summary
Responsible for assisting with operational maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial/industrial buildings, industrial systems, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on commercial/industrial buildings, grounds, and equipment, including installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review, create, and maintain assigned work orders with associated paperwork within digital computerized maintenance management system.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, perform both reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection system equipment.
Requirements
- Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, and plumbing.
- 2+ years of related experience in a property maintenance setting.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license (commercial license may be required) and good driving record with periodic checks.
- Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Current possession of EPA licensing or ability to become registered.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Work Environment
This maintenance job operates in a professional office environment as well as industrial/warehouse type environments both indoors and outside.
