Production Supervisor

This position is responsible for providing leadership in manufacturing excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement of responsible areas' performance measurements (quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery, and cash flow). The Production Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities of team leaders and workers engaged in production, establishing and coordinating departmental activities to meet objectives to coincide with plant goals and business metrics.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all Howmet safety regulations, work rules, and departmental specific requirements.
- Record data manually or by computer as required, examining castings and products at various stages of processing procedures for conformance to both internal and external specifications.
- Observe machines and equipment for malfunction and order adjustments or repairs, directing workers to make adjustments or repairs.
- Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment, explaining company policies to employees and assuring compliance to EHS responsibilities.
- Conduct employee training, practice incident prevention techniques, facilitate between Managers, EHS resources, employees, and conduct self-inspections with verification regarding compliance.
- Explain specifications and job orders to workers, assign duties, establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems, initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintain time and production records, estimate, provide requisitions for, and inspect materials, confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Establish project plans and coordinate activities for continuous improvement initiatives, make recommendations for employee status (hiring/terminations and promotions of employees).
- Resolve grievances and employee relations issues as they arise, complete performance evaluations on employees as required, administer employee corrective action for employees.
- Responsible for training and mentoring team leaders for their individual development, must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines.
- A minimum of a High School diploma/G.E.D.
- Must be able to provide documentation in the original form establishing both your identity and your employment eligibility in the U.S.
- This position entails access to export-controlled items, you must be able to lawfully obtain access to such items.
