About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to join our team at CalAmp, a connected intelligence company that provides real-time visibility and insights for tracking, monitoring, and recovering vital assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with product management and engineering to develop complete solutions using CalAmp's telematics products.
  • Provide technical support for internal support teams and occasionally for external customers.
  • Develop expertise in the technical details of our cutting-edge products, including vehicle telematics protocols, GPS operations, and telecom networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve challenging operational issues to ensure our products deliver the services for which they were designed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and validation teams to ensure our solutions operate as expected in all configurations.
Requirements
  • Experience in a highly technical discipline, such as computer programming, networking, or vehicle telematics.
  • Knowledge of cellular communication technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify issues with hardware, firmware, and cloud-based software.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in a programming language like C or scripting language like Python.
