Director of Financial Operations

At the Child Mind Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Accounting to lead our accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and leadership, with a proven track record of implementing and improving financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee accounting operations, including day-to-day accounting transactions, accounts payable, and preparation of periodic financial reports.
- Lead a team of accounting professionals, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance on professional development.
- Develop and implement financial systems and processes to support current and future growth, while ensuring the accuracy of financial results.
- Collaborate with program and clinical practice leaders to provide financial information and support program operations.
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer in preparation and presentation of financial information and materials to the Board of Directors and the Audit and Finance Committee.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- CPA or advanced degree, such as an MBA, is a plus.
- 12+ years' experience in finance and accounting, with 7+ years in a leadership position.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience managing the annual audit process.
- Proven track record of implementing and improving financial systems, with exceptional presentation and communication skills.
