Job Summary

This is a dynamic role that requires a unique blend of operational expertise and customer service skills. As a Retail Operations Specialist with Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies throughout our warehouse and retail store locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery vehicles, to move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage or production areas.
  • Inspect trucks prior to beginning routes to ensure safe operating condition.
  • Complete daily logs and other paperwork as required.
  • Communicate with supervisors or dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe sites or road conditions, accidents, equipment breakdowns, or other maintenance problems.
  • Maintain current DOT medical certification and driver license.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (M.V.R.) required.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (C.D.L.) Class A required.
  • Current Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) Medical Certification is required.
  • Must pass pre-employment Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) drug and alcohol test.

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions and varying temperatures. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Compensation

The external hiring range for this role is $21 per hour.
