Immunization Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as the Immunization Program Coordinator for District 4 Public Health. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and coordination skills to manage the planning and implementation of the immunization program across all District 4 Clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the planning and implementation of the immunization program, ensuring compliance with ACIP recommendations and VFC program requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to advance the immunization program, based on data collection and programmatic assessments.
- Collaborate with the District Epidemiologist and infection disease unit to assess immunization status of patients involved in vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks/investigations.
- Provide technical assistance and training to public health nursing staff and other stakeholders on immunization best practices.
- Ensure that all immunization clinical personnel receive initial and annual training as needed, and that VFC training requirements are met.
- Disseminate pertinent information and communications from the State Immunization Office to county staff.
- Participate in continuing education programs to maintain and update knowledge about ACIP recommendations, VFC program requirements, and state immunization requirements.
- PH Licensed Practical Nurse 3
- Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college
- Four years of LPN public health experience
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- CPR
- Residents preferred for Emergency Preparedness Planning for the Health Department
- Public Health Experience a plus
- Administering Immunizations a MUST
- GRITS (Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions & Services) a plus
