Position Overview:

As a Senior System Development Engineer within the AWS Hardware Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design, planning, and operation of our global infrastructure. This team is dedicated to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of AWS services.

Your Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and specialists to enhance automation and infrastructure capabilities for OEM drive operational health.
  • Author specifications and lead system design and development efforts, ensuring thorough testing at each phase.
  • Focus on software test development and integration to support storage hardware, as well as system debugging for production environments.

Key Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in developing automation software across multiple teams.
  • A strong background in designing and building system-level software with a focus on durability and security.
  • Proficiency in OS internals, particularly in Linux-based environments.
  • Hands-on experience with device drivers and debugging in ARM and x86 architectures.
  • Familiarity with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
