Medical Laboratory Specialist

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is a vital member of our team, representing the face of our company to patients who come in for their health routine or life-defining health decisions. This role requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment and perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
Maintain required records and documentation and demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Minimum of 6 months experience.
One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm.
Reliable transportation is required.
COVID vaccine is required.
