Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our multidisciplinary team at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the smooth running of our unit.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will work closely with professional nursing personnel to deliver high-quality care that prioritizes patients' safety, comfort, and well-being. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, and collecting specimens or measures as needed
  • Documenting observations and contributing to treatment planning
  • Participating in groups, calls, and other activities to promote a collaborative environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification
  • Annual training in management of aggressive patients
  • At least 2 years of experience in a mental health-related field with direct patient care responsibilities
