Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance, janitorial services, property management, or general custodial duties is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Capable of working independently
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Flexibility to undertake additional tasks as required, particularly during peak seasons
- Proficient in performing various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, window cleaning, trash disposal, and restroom sanitation
Software Skills:
- Proficient in checking and responding to emails in a timely manner
- Able to clock in and out using a timekeeping system
Position Scope:
Support the operations of The Salvation Army through thorough cleaning and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vacuum all office spaces, fellowship hall, and chapel weekly
- Sweep and mop all floors weekly
- Sanitize bathrooms weekly and replenish supplies as necessary
- Daily cleaning of the Social Services Hygiene Center
- Dust surfaces weekly
- Empty trash receptacles daily
- Maintain and clean equipment as requested
- Assist with setup and breakdown for events as assigned
- Conduct food pickups as needed
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be capable of fulfilling all duties and responsibilities listed above.
Qualified individuals should be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
