Environmental Services Assistant Job Description

Frontier Senior Living is seeking a skilled Environmental Services Assistant to join our team at The Auberge at Missoula Valley community in Missoula, Montana.

Job Summary

The Environmental Services Assistant will support the Environmental Services Director in maintaining the community's common areas, resident apartments, grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems. This role requires a skilled maintenance person who can lead by example and ensure the highest quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of building maintenance and mechanical work, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and minor equipment repair.
  • Respond promptly to resident apartment maintenance or repairs.
  • Inspect and prepare apartments for rent-ready status before new residents move in.
  • Solicit plant maintenance estimates and present them to the community Executive Director and/or ESD.
  • Perform floor covering cleaning and establish a routine Preventive Maintenance Plan for plant, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.
  • Ensure compliance with company, state, local, or federal health, safety, and building codes.
  • Assist the ESD in maintaining an effective inventory and loss control program for the maintenance department.
  • Participate in community and resident programs, including the Safety Committee and Infection Control Committee.
  • Provide transportation for residents as directed by the ESD.
  • Maintain Resident Rights and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to relate to the elderly in a positive manner.
  • Skilled maintenance person for general maintenance duties.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
