About the Role

The Production Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for the fabrication of special powders and components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support operational tasks to meet project requirements, including material batching and mixing, powder processing, forming, and furnace and kiln loading/unloading.
  • Prepare and test samples using laboratory analytical equipment, including LECO chemical analysis, density measurements, and dimensional measurements.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment as needed.
  • Develop a diverse set of skills, including strong mechanical aptitude, to work collaboratively with a team for equipment disassembly, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Become knowledgeable about Alcoa EHS standards, protocols, and tools to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school degree in mechanical/electrical trades.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform material handling, weighing, completing process steps in sequence, and documenting process data.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. from waist level as needed.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
