Business Intelligence Engineer, Logistics

As a Business Intelligence Engineer on our Amazon Logistics team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting business intelligence and operations reporting and management systems. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions, partnering with Data Engineering and Software Development Engineers to prioritize and define AMZL data and BI development needs.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Partnering with Data Engineering and Software Development Engineers to prioritize and define AMZL data and BI development needs
- Working with in-house scientists, global supply chain, transportation, and logistics teams to identify new BI capabilities and projects
- Conducting deep dive investigations into operations execution and business problems, identifying opportunities, and leading or supporting implementation
- Analyzing and visualizing large-scale geospatial logistics and transaction data to articulate user behavior or delivery process problems, and outputting solid analysis reports with recommendations
- Serving as a liaison between the WW Planning and Analytics team and the operations business teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insights into current delivery performance, and ad-hoc investigations into future improvements or innovations

Requirements:
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Compensation:
The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
