The Production Pastry Cook is a key member of the Milk Bar commissary team, responsible for executing daily and weekly recipe production. This role requires a strong foundation in baking and pastry production, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate proactively with Production Managers and Lead Production Cooks to ensure seamless production operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and Milk Bar standards.
- Follow established procedures, recipes, and guides to ensure high-quality products and efficient production.
- Meet production volume and schedule requirements while maintaining stringent quality standards.
- Participate in product quality assurance through regular tastings and monitoring of product storage and shelf life.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, cleanliness requirements, and department organization standards.
- Utilize a variety of kitchen tools and equipment, including mixers, dough sheeters, and combi ovens.
- Monitor baking processes and identify issues or adjustments to maintain Milk Bar quality standards.
- Work with a sense of urgency and purpose to achieve daily, weekly, and long-term goals.
- Uphold Milk Bar standards for excellent customer service and maintain a positive, friendly demeanor in all guest interactions.
- 1 year of experience in baking and/or related pastry production.
- Food Handlers Card preferred.
- Understanding of proper pastry methods, techniques, and standards.
- Passion for the food industry and high-quality products.
- Efficient time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50/75 lbs. occasionally.
- Open availability and schedule flexibility is a must.
