Cloud Operations Engineer
Location- Hybrid

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in one or more Cloud Platforms (Azure, GCP)

Familiarity with Container Technologies:
Kubernetes, Docker, PKS, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Minimum of 5 years in Cloud Operations Engineering.
At least two to three years of experience with Azure.
Expertise in establishing monitoring for applications and databases.
Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring.
Knowledge of third-party services and management.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:


This position entails overseeing application performance and addressing events, incidents, and modifications arising from internal or vendor applications.

Analyze incidents and issues to identify root causes. Utilize ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring for troubleshooting.
Resolve challenges in live production environments and develop strategies to prevent recurrence with minimal assistance.
Automate application management processes.
Monitor and support both new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks.
Engage in enhancing the lifecycle of service deployment, operations, and refinement.
Provide technical guidance during service-impacting occurrences.
Collaborate with fellow engineers on code evaluations, internal infrastructure improvements, and process enhancements.
Conduct scalability testing to assess, adjust, and optimize system performance.
Participate in periodic on-call duties.
Be accountable for resolving outages through workarounds or permanent solutions.

Ensure all administrative tasks and reports are kept current, including contact information and technical diagrams following major incident reviews.

Responsible for liaising with various stakeholders and managing IT communications.
Oversee the effective execution of Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes, including respective reporting procedures.
Guarantee the closure of all resolved and end-user confirmed incident records.

Establish ongoing process improvement cycles where performance activities, roles, responsibilities, policies, procedures, and supporting technologies are reviewed and enhanced as necessary.

Lead Proof-of-Concepts on Splunk implementation, including indexing and plugins, while mentoring team members on the use cases of Splunk.

Knowledge of Splunk Enterprise Deployments and enable continuous integration as part of configuration management.
Understanding of log parsing, complex Splunk searches, including external table lookups, Splunk data flow, components, features, and product capabilities.
Experience in setting up alerts and monitoring recipes from machine-generated data.
