The successful candidate will be integral to our technical team, engaging in various tasks related to the packaging, installation, and decommissioning of essential support systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical assistance during the unpacking, installation, and verification of system support equipment and developmental assets.
  • Collaborate with government representatives and engineers to facilitate the installation and removal of sensitive systems and components.
  • Contribute to the creation of process and procedure documentation.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, escalate them to the appropriate channels, and propose solutions for engineering review.
  • Conduct unpackaging of test system assets and support equipment at designated testing locations.
  • Participate in the mobilization, demobilization, and execution of installation and verification of systems and support equipment at test sites.
  • Perform post-installation checkouts in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support system and subsystem testing, which may involve travel to various test locations as necessary.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to inform maintenance needs and modifications for support equipment.
  • Demonstrate hands-on expertise with a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment, along with the ability to read and interpret mechanical assembly drawings and BOMs.
  • Exhibit advanced technical knowledge in field operations and procedures related to mechanical assembly, with a strong focus on detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance is required (U.S. citizenship is necessary to obtain a Secret Clearance).
  • Technical training and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a mechanical technician or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Ability to comprehend and tackle new engineering designs effectively.
  • Capability to work independently while fostering collaboration with customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Navy weapon systems.
  • Proven track record of supporting large Department of Defense technical programs.
