Job Title: Registered Nurse - Surgical Trauma Intensive Care

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing timely and effective interventions to address critical issues.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timing.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and laboratory results, reporting any abnormalities to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts.
  • 2 years of med/surge experience required.
  • Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
