Job Summary:

The Dietitian will assess patients for nutritional status and risk factors, perform nutrition consults, provide nutrition counseling, monitor and make recommendations for specialized nutrition support, participate on the patient care team, provide nutrition education and training, and participate in professional/research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Screen patients for nutritional risk factors and document screens in the medical record.
2. Perform nutrition assessments and consults to identify patient needs.
3. Provide individualized nutrition counseling to patients, taking into account their educational ability, cultural factors, and economic/social concerns.
4. Make recommendations for specialized nutrition support, such as enteral or parenteral nutrition.
5. Prepare and present nutrition in-services for medical students, residents, nurses, nutrition students, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Dietetics is required.
2. Registration as a Registered Dietitian and licensure in the state of Ohio or eligibility to register for the Registered Dietitian Exam upon hire and obtain Registered Dietitian credential and Ohio licensure within 4 months of hire.
3. 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
4. None of the experience supervising is required.

Working Conditions:
