Service Advisor Job Overview



Hendrick Lexus Kansas City is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Advisor to join our team. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, identifying and documenting service, maintenance, and repair needs, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.



Job Summary




  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers are treated with respect and professionalism.
  • Identify and document service, maintenance, and repair needs for customers.
  • Schedule service to be performed and ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work with customers and technicians to identify required maintenance and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Advises customers on necessary and recommended services and offers additional services and repairs.
  • Computes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer.
  • Estimates cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs and enters itemized estimate on service order and explains estimate to customer.
  • Schedules appointments with customers and meets dealership's standards for repair and order production.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards and maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training and records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Frequently interacts with customers, service manager and service technicians, and employees from various departments in the dealerships.


Requirements




  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive or customer service industries.
  • Working knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and other web based applications utilized for operations.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.


Salary Information



The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment



The Service Advisor will be working in a fast-paced dealership environment, frequently interacting with customers, service manager and service technicians, and employees from various departments in the dealerships. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, with scheduled shifts including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
