Job Overview:

The Plant Manager is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to the Schreiber Foods plant. This individual will lead the development of a high-performing team, driving continuous improvement in cost, safety, quality, and service. The successful candidate will establish a culture of teamwork and innovation, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and idea-sharing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant performance, focusing on cost reduction, safety enhancements, quality improvements, and service excellence.
  • Lead the plant team in achieving business objectives, setting clear goals and expectations, and providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers, other Schreiber Foods groups, and customers, to drive process improvements and achieve business results.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, learning, and innovation.
  • Represent Schreiber Foods in interactions with regulatory agencies, local customers, and the community, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage capital expenditures, negotiating lease and supply agreements as necessary, and ensuring the prudent use of resources.
  • Develop and implement innovative compensation programs to motivate and recognize performance, including skill-based pay and incentives.
  • Provide coaching and career development assistance to staff members, promoting growth and succession planning.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, trends, and best practices in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Process Excellence initiatives, ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, and customer requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Food/Dairy Science, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of plant leadership experience, with 3-5 years of aseptic production experience.
  • Proven track record of team development and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of sanitation protocols, sterilization processes, contamination control, documentation, and process authority processes.
  • Thorough understanding of aseptic processing and maintenance of sterile conditions.
