Radiology Interventional Technician

Position Overview
Role Summary: Under the guidance of the Service Line Manager and Lead Technologist, the individual will support the Radiologist and Neurointerventionalist in performing diagnostic angiography and interventional procedures aimed at patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities may vary based on the assigned area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts all diagnostic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures.
- Assists physicians during diagnostic angiographic procedures and complex vascular and nonvascular interventions, ensuring a sterile environment is maintained.
- Prepares and positions patients prior to procedures, remaining at their side throughout.
- Monitors and reports any changes in patient condition to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Educates patients and their families about the procedures, and transports patients as necessary.
- Administers contrast media in accordance with established medication protocols.
- Records procedural information, processes radiographic images, and manages procedural charges.
- Performs ancillary tasks such as cleaning workspaces, restocking supplies, assisting colleagues, and reporting equipment issues.
- May conduct moderate or waived point-of-care testing in compliance with CLIA guidelines.
Qualifications
Required Credentials:
* Registered Radiology Technologist
Educational Background:
* Associate Degree
Additional Information: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to performance standards such as ownership, teamwork, communication, and compassion, which are essential for patient satisfaction and service excellence. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant combination of education, experience, and qualifications.
