We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic, interventional, and neuro-interventional procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist or Neurointerventionalist.
- Assist physicians with diagnostic angiographic procedures, as well as complex vascular and nonvascular interventional, therapeutic, and neuro-interventional procedures.
- Prepare and position patients prior to procedures and remain at their bedside throughout the procedure.
- Report changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel for follow-up.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures.
- Administer contrast media per established medication review protocols.
- Document procedural-related information, perform radiographic image post-processing, and input procedural charges.
- Perform related duties such as cleaning work areas, replenishing supplies, assisting others, and reporting equipment malfunctions.
- May perform moderate or waived point-of-care testing per CLIA guidelines.
- Registered Radiology Technologist (RT) certification.
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, preferred.
- Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
