Associate Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Litigation Lawyer to join our team at Winget, Spadafora & Schwartzberg, LLP in Los Angeles, California.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation and expertise in Securities/FINRA and/or Professional Liability Defense. California admission is required.
Key Responsibilities- Represent clients in legal proceedings and handle discovery.
- Prepare and file legal documents and pleadings in a timely manner.
- Participate in mediations, hearings, and depositions as required.
- Interact with clients and resolve problems related to cases.
- Integrate best practices and standards in handling clients and their cases.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments for case presentation.
- Complete reports and projects on time, adhering to partner and client needs.
- Accurately record billable hours, adhering to client guidelines and Firm policy.
- Ability to comprehend complex matters and articulate core issues.
- Knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedures.
- Proven time-management and organizational skills, including prioritization.
- Possesses a keen eye for detail and exceptional research and proofreading abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of legal procedures and current developments.
- Working knowledge of computers and ability to maintain, update, and modify documents.
- Possess relevant technology competencies such as LexisNexis, and time-billing software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong research and legal writing skills.
- Desire to work additional hours as deemed necessary based on caseload.
