Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Travel II

Location: Fairfield, CA

Duration: 12+ Weeks (Possible Extension)

Schedule: Nights. 7 pm - 7 am 12 week engagement. Must have experience in acute areas- ICU, ED. NICU experience is a plus.

Pay Range: $60/hr. on W2

Duties:

### Respiratory Care Practitioner Role

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality respiratory care to patients. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients assigned to your care, utilizing the Relationship Based Care Model and the four C's of the Client Way.

### Key Responsibilities

* Provide care that is consistent with the interdisciplinary plan of care and grounded in the principles of Relationship Based Care.
* Explain respiratory treatments to patients and families, and educate them on how to care for respiratory needs.
* Demonstrate a current working knowledge and safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care treatments and modalities, and modify the plan as needed.
* Act as a patient advocate, initiating action to improve healthcare or change decisions that are not in the patient's best interest.

### Skills and Qualifications

* 6 months post-graduate acute care experience preferred.
* Pediatric/neonatal experience preferred.
