Salary:$18-$21 per hour, depending on years of experience and certifications.
Job Description
We are seeking an outgoing and highly self-motivated Fire Alarm Technician Apprentice to assist the lead Alarm & Detection Technician in providing reliable customer support through on-site inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing fire alarm equipment.
The preferred candidate will be able to problem solve, have strong communication skills, and a professional image. They must be able to learn all aspects of a project from install to programming, have strong troubleshooting skills, and service work. The initiative to learn the skills required to eventually move into a Technician role within WSFP is essential.
Essential Functions
- Assist and train in fire alarm installations
- Fire Alarm system troubleshooting techniques
- Analysis of blueprints
Qualifications
- Desire a career in fire protection
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of NICET level 1 exam within the first year of employment required
- Experience with technology such as iPad, smartphone, etc.
- Possess a valid driver's license; in accordance with Company policy
- Clean appearance and reliable transportation in accordance with Company Health & Safety Pocketbook
