Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled professional to coordinate program laboratories and assist instructors in the operation of lab areas and equipment to facilitate the student learning process.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and organize materials and equipment needed for laboratory/work site activities.
• Clean up after completion of activities and maintain records as requested by instructors and as required for safety compliance.
• Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Additional Duties
• Set up laboratory/work site practical examinations and maintain inventory of materials and supplies for laboratory/work site projects.
• Contact vendors regarding purchases and initiate requisitions, and monitor and update SDS information as necessary.
• Train instructors and students on the use of laboratory/work site equipment and proper use and disposal of chemicals; oversee appropriate storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals/cleaning supplies used in labs.
• Coordinate chemical disposal with the DMACC Safety Coordinator and perform other duties as assigned.
