Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for installing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic systems, conveyor systems, and injection molding machines and equipment. The goal is to maintain equipment downtime due to issues at 10% or below.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, and machinery
  • Perform safety inspections and support all building/facility requirements as directed by the manager
  • Comply with OSHA and ANSI safety standards
  • Complete requisitions for maintenance items and participate in 5S Kaizen events
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of plant machinery, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC
  • Working knowledge of programmable controls, including the ability to troubleshoot and modify programs through the use of appropriate tools
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must provide own tools
Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Ankeny, Iowa. The plant has recently changed management and is starting to implement Lean manufacturing practices to increase efficiency. The facility is warm, and candidates must be comfortable with an unregulated environment, though some areas for maintenance are cooled. Dress code requires pants and steel-toed boots. There will be one other person on the shift with you. Weekend call duty is shared among the team.
