Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
- Proficient data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- No felony convictions or serious criminal charges pending; however, past convictions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Maintains a professional and tidy appearance.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the role.
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to varying schedules.
- Capability to meet deadlines in work processes.
- Open to learning and accepting new responsibilities.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as a liaison between the assigned customer and Epes Transport Systems management.
- Oversees daily operations at the customer site for the dedicated account.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill driver and equipment needs.
- Plans and organizes driver schedules in accordance with customer requirements.
- Provides guidance, training, and leadership to drivers to ensure excellent customer service.
- Educates and advises drivers on safety protocols, service hours regulations, and company policies while adhering to contract stipulations.
- Encourages compliance with DOT regulations and the Epes safety program.
- Conducts inspections of on-site equipment (tractors, trailers) to ensure safety and operational efficiency, coordinating repairs as needed.
- Manages vacation and time-off requests based on the needs of drivers, the company, and the customer.
- Handles billing, payroll information, and special reporting requirements related to dedicated business and customer requests.
- Participates in quarterly safety meetings.
- Supports the Dedicated Operations Manager with administrative tasks related to the Dedicated Division.
- Coordinates with the Recruiting and Safety Departments to ensure candidates are well-informed and prepared for onboarding into the Dedicated Operations Department.
- Delivers weekly summaries and management reports to both internal and external customers as required.
- Travels as necessary for the role.
- Demonstrates commitment to the Epes Transport System, Inc. Quality Management System and its objectives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the customer, including but not limited to performance reporting and training as required.
