This Senior Logistics Analyst position supports multiple Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) International Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers for Logistics (APML) by analyzing transportation issues and performing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analysis. The role requires working independently to identify, analyze, and mitigate transportation issues related to Security Assistance and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to ensure safe and secure transportation of hazardous, classified, oversized/overweight, and general cargo related to weapons systems. This includes providing recommendations to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct thorough analysis of shipments of high-value, sensitive, explosive, and/or classified assets to determine the most cost-effective modes of transportation to international destinations.
- Evaluate Ally Partners' transportation processes and capabilities to ensure compliance with U.S. government export/import laws and policies and recommend alternative support procedures/concepts as necessary.
- Collaborate with origin shippers, DoD activities, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and Ally Partner Freight Forwarders to plan and arrange transportation of classified and Communication Security (COMSEC) material.
- Prepare and review shipping documents to ensure accuracy and executability.
- Coordinate Special Assignment Airlift Missions (SAAM) flights and channel airlift, assisting the Program Office in new business acquisition, FMS or Security Cooperation case development, implementation, and follow-on support activities.
- Provide technical briefings, reports, and updates on major transportation policy issues to the Program Office and Ally Partners.
- Participate in Program Management Reviews, Technical Coordination Meetings, conferences, briefings, and other significant program activities and events occurring in CONUS and OCONUS, as required.
Required Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university and greater than ten (10) years of work experience is preferred. Active Secret or Interim Secret clearance is also required. Position is contingent upon funding.
- The estimated annual salary for this position is around $108,000.
