Computed Tomography Technologist II

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist II to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine to complex diagnostic CT procedures, including common and special CT exams of high difficulty.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including common and special CT exams, using x-ray images and computer processing to generate pictures of tissue densities through the patient's body.
- Assess, identify, and respond to the needs of patients for adjustment or intervention to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
- Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special CT procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
- Three years of experience as a CT Technologist.
- ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) OR ARRT-THR - Radiologic Technologist - Radiation Therapy (ARRT) OR CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) AND ARRT-CT - Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography (ARRT) AND CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure OR CMRT-Temp - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - Temporary State Licensure AND BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
This position requires the ability to work independently, handle challenging/difficult diagnostic procedures and patient care situations, and demonstrate sound judgment and execute above-average clinical skills. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer knowledge and be able to operate multiple computer systems, including Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and Office software.
