Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve challenges in claims processing, proposing effective solutions.
  • Oversee third-party claims processing procedures, collecting and analyzing data to recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical staff to gather information for developing actionable plans.
  • Facilitate claims processing by negotiating with contract claims processors and their supervisors.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, effectively communicating with individuals across various levels of expertise.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work on-site with clients at designated facilities.
  • Extended periods of computer use and on-site presence.
  • Capability to sit or stand for prolonged durations.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, and reaching may be required.
  • Mobility around office and client locations is necessary.
  • Must be prepared to support emergency management activities, including weekend and holiday work.
  • Travel to client sites or for emergency deployments as directed by leadership.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • High school diploma is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
  • 3-5 years as a program analyst or claims processor for disaster survivors.
  • 3+ years in insurance and claims processing.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
  • Experience in developing actionable plans and recommending corrective measures.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Office 365 applications.
  • Process-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High integrity with the capacity to handle confidential information.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Experience in emergency management, public safety, or related fields is advantageous.
  • 3-5+ years in FEMA Public Assistance Programs.
  • 5+ years as a case manager or program analyst.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance claims.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, with at least three years of experience in emergency management or a related discipline.
