Job Summary:

To provide leadership, strategic program development, and implementation for youth sports and education initiatives at YWCA of Syracuse and Onondaga County Inc. throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement youth sports and education programs as assigned, collaborating with staff and volunteers to ensure program success.
  • Coach teams as assigned, work on special projects, and assist with outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Support administrative needs, including attendance tracking, registration, and data analysis.
  • Plan and implement program development and implementation for Girls Inc. and related initiatives, working directly with staff and volunteers.
  • Prepare program records, individual project reports, and participation data for agency reports and grants.
  • Requisition and manage program supplies and materials.
  • Ensure proper staff coverage for designated groups in case of absence.
  • Perform minor custodial duties as needed.
  • Participate in and contribute to agency, regional, and national trainings.
  • Build relationships with parents, keeping them informed of program activities, events, and field trips.
  • Act in accordance with YWCA mission, policies, and goals.
  • Represent the agency in community activities in line with established policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Minimal supervisory responsibilities, may supervise interns and CNYWorks youth employees assigned to groups.
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $50,000 - $65,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, sports management, or youth development.
  • 2+ years of experience in youth sports, education, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and program development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
