About the RoleAs an Applications Engineer at Zeeco, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation of multidisciplinary proposals that combine technical and commercial content. You will interpret and analyze customer enquiries and specifications to design and specify the appropriate equipment, develop a strong understanding of process design and calculations, and prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals that align with customer requirements and scope of supply.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Analysis: Interpret and analyze customer enquiries and specifications to design and specify the appropriate equipment.
- Process Design: Develop a strong understanding of process design and calculations, with training provided.
- Proposal Development: Prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals that align with customer requirements and scope of supply.
- Customer Engagement: Communicate with customers throughout the quotation phase, addressing technical and commercial queries to secure purchase orders.
- Post-Order Support: Collaborate with the project execution team, preparing process data sheets and assisting the drafting team as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of sales presentations and documents using MS Office and other software.
- Minimum HND or equivalent in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or a related field).
- 5+ years in sales/proposals or a relevant industry, with experience in fired combustion equipment or process knowledge being advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Resourceful, well-organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Confident, assertive, and capable of making decisions autonomously.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
