Position Overview
The selected candidate will take on the role of a Chief Personnel Psychologist within the Office of Human Resources, specifically in the Human Resources Research and Assessment Division.

Key Responsibilities:

Salary: This Chief Personnel Psychologist role starts at a salary of $163,964 (GS-15 step 01), with potential growth up to $191,900 (GS-15 step 10).


Employment Conditions:
If selected, you will be required to:
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Register for Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959.
- Obtain and maintain a top-secret Tier 5 clearance.
- Undergo a drug test prior to appointment and participate in random drug testing during employment.

Qualifications:
Basic Education Requirement:

Completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited institution leading to a bachelor's degree or higher in psychology.

In addition to the educational requirement, candidates must possess specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level, including:


1. Managing personnel, providing guidance, and overseeing activities related to the development and adherence to human capital assessment policies and best practices.
2. Directing the research, development, and management of effective human capital assessment tools.
3. Contributing to the creation of innovative and high-quality organizational solutions.
4. Ensuring compliance with relevant professional standards.

DHS utilizes E-Verify to confirm the eligibility of all newly hired employees to work in the United States. The agency allows for up to 80% telework, subject to management discretion based on job responsibilities.
