Job Description

Job Title: Program Manager II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager II to join our team at SNC. As a Program Manager II, you will be responsible for providing oversight in all phases of business, coordinating with your Product Line Director and other corporate entities to drive our strategic business operations for all programmatic aspects of your assigned projects/programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight in all phases of business, including customer relationship, cost, schedule, and technical planning, resource planning/tracking and reporting, technical execution, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved.
  • Work directly with executive leadership and business development for capture opportunities that help fulfill portfolio strategies.
  • Have cost, schedule, and performance responsibilities in support of your PL Director's Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for a program portfolio that includes a product line (or subset) of customer deliverables.
  • Oversee program execution of your team to ensure process, procedure, and compliance for all aspects are upheld, project/program status updates, proposal review and approval, and negotiations with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.
  • Plan, organize, and implement large, complex, strategic programs that are typically highly visible initiatives with significant impact on business or product viability and ranging across multiple disciplines, businesses, and/or product offerings.
  • Advance the organizational strategic and business objectives through the alignment and integration of all programs and projects under your purview, and the coordinated management of all Program Managers.
  • Support the development and oversight of process and procedure for assessing and mitigating program risk and ensure program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a technical related discipline.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Proficient leadership abilities, including successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
  • Ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge the status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
  • Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes, preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typically 5-12 years of related experience or;
  • Master's in Engineering, Aviation, or Management and typically 5-12 years of program management experience.
  • Aviation integration experience, including jet integration, understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS).
  • Working knowledge of Program Management Institute Program Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile, and/or spiral development models.
  • Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management.
  • Understanding with application tools and data architectures.
  • Ability to reinforce the usage and application of Corporate PM tools.
  • Ability to lead PM process and tool improvement for the Enterprise.
  • Ability to keep program management informed of function and process changes within project controls.
  • Ability to enhance program management expertise in the staff.
  • Ability to establish a centralized, coordinating body for PM concerns, recommendations, and issues, developing recommended process improvements, facilitating opportunities with Enterprise Program Finance.
  • Ability to establish new and further refining existing templates, tools, and guidelines for program documentation and execution.
  • Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
