Job Overview

Farallon Consulting, L.L.C. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Engineer to join our team in Bellevue or Seattle, Washington offices. As a Staff Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for performing professional engineering work on a broad range of projects, including remedial investigations, engineering support to industrial compliance projects, remediation system design and construction, and stormwater system design, construction, and BMP implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and performance of feasibility studies and related pilot testing programs.
  • Accurately interpret data relative to applicable regulations and standards.
  • Develop conceptual designs and perform alternatives analysis on straightforward projects.
  • Perform design calculations, prepare cost estimates, and develop design drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Plan and conduct field projects in accordance with Farallon health and safety practices.
  • Perform construction observation and quality assurance.
  • Assist with the preparation of text for reports, feasibility studies, and cleanup action plans.
  • Implement project quality control procedures to produce products that meet Farallon standards.
  • Represent Farallon to clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, and others.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to assertively direct others in the field.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and complete basic reporting and paperwork tasks.
  • Knowledge of appropriate state regulations.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform field work.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER).
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.
  • 2+ years of field experience.
