Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Cottage Health. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for providing, coordinating, and delivering training to the centralized scheduling center and patient access teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of patient access team members
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and develop comprehensive training plans
  • Provide expert guidance and support to patient access teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care
  • Maintain a comprehensive training knowledge base to ensure accuracy and consistency in training delivery
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and team members to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible patient access, scheduling, or call center experience
  • Basic MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, with 35 wpm keyboard/typing speed
  • Knowledge of an Electronic Health Record system
  • EPIC credential (issued by Cottage Health) in Cadence, Radiant, or Referral Management within 1 year from hire date
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of patient access, scheduling, or call center experience, with 3 years of management experience
  • Adult education experience
  • Intermediate MS Office and Epic skills
