Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist ARRT PRN Specialist assists the Radiologists or independently performs ordered imaging procedures specific to diagnostic imaging and related techniques, producing diagnostic images for interpretation. This role requires a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Scan in labels and document patient information accurately
  • Resolve quality assurance issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure images are released to radiologists in a timely manner
  • Verify orders are valid and entered correctly
  • Transport patients as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or registered School of Radiology
  • Current registration with A.R.R.T.
  • Current certification with the Texas Department of Health (CMRT)
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • One year of previous experience in a hospital environment preferred
