Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at AltaPointe Health. As a Therapist in our acute care setting, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy to adults in psychiatric crisis. Your primary responsibility will be to formulate treatment plans, behavioral management plans, and provide clinical assessments of consumers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize assessment data to support a DSM V, DSM IV-TR, or DSM IV diagnosis
  • Provide effective clinical assessment of the consumer
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Lead a team of behavioral staff and provide clinical direction and training
  • Assist with seclusion and restraint as required, per AltaPointe policy and procedure
  • Evaluate consumers for discharge planning or movement to a less restrictive environment
  • Collaborate with the treatment team and outside sources in the delivery of clinical services
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a mental health discipline
  • Strong grasp of therapeutic models and theories
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to crisis situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Physical Demands

This position requires frequent standing, sitting, and walking, with occasional bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling. The ability to ambulate quickly and carry up to 15 pounds is also required.
