Job Title: Overhead Crane Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Overhead Crane Technician to join our team at Industrial Trade Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the inspection, service, and repair of overhead, revolver, and nuclear cranes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and modernize industrial equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on installed crane bases.
  • Evaluate and recommend repairs to customers.
  • Communicate with customers for parts and remote support.
  • Work in environments that may require standing, walking, bending, crawling, and working at heights.
  • Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including those required by the customer.
  • Prepare reports and complete post-job paperwork.
  • Travel requirements may be up to 75%.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Industrial Electricity, Electronic Engineering Technology, or related field or equivalent vocation/technical training and experience is preferred.
  • Strong background in AC and DC motor control systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wire diagrams.
  • 2-5 years of previous crane experience preferred.
  • Computer skills to include MS Word and Excel.
  • Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, and CMAA codes or regulations.
