Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Crane Mechanic to join our team at Insight Global. As a Crane Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing crane systems, including engines, electrical and computer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brakes, and other basic components.
  • Operate hoists, forklifts, and/or hand trucks to handle, dismantle, and reassemble heavy material and equipment.
  • Diagnose defects, faults, or malfunctions in machines or heavy equipment and determine required repairs.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers and OEM specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Fabricate, modify, and install special equipment or replacement parts using specialty tools.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
  • Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts on vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a heavy machinery mechanic, with both hydraulic and electrical experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience hands-on with Crane mechanics.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
  • Must be able to provide own tools (specialty tools will be provided).
  • Comfortable working overtime and weekends when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CDL.
  • Certifications.
