Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at the Public Health Institute. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance employee skills and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop training programs that address the needs of different departments within the organization.
  • Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback to identify skills gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate and track the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, feedback, and metrics.
  • Collaborate with department leads, managers, and Program Administration team to align training initiatives with business goals and ensure relevant content.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and interactive activities remotely.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and maintain the COG Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees on career development and professional growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement learning strategies, including trainings, resources, materials, and guidance on various leadership and management topics.
  • Conduct training and workshops to raise awareness and enhance understanding of Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion issues.
  • Ensure that training programs meet regulatory requirements and maintain records and documentation as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning/Training and Development and Human Resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or related degree; or substitute with four additional years of relevant experience.
  • Certification in Learning and Development (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Experience managing Human Resources projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing and delivering professional trainings remotely.

We offer a competitive salary range of $68,581 to $99,425 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
